A vacancy has arisen for an experienced book-keeper or part qualified accountant within Newline Oil Co. Ltd and sister company Newline Bulk Haulage Ltd., based at The Dirr, Murrintown, Co. Wexford. Flexible working hours available.

The position will involve the following main duties: –

· Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts including Profit and Loss account and Balance Sheet to ensure month-end deadlines are met.

· Training will be provided on front desk duties to include stock etc.

· Processing monthly prepayments and accruals journals.

· Responsible for the fixed asset register.

· Raising the purchase order & posting the supplier invoice to the purchase ledger.

· Posting the monthly depreciation journal.

· Preparing the annual capital budget.

· Preparation & filing of bi-monthly VAT returns.

· Preparation & filing of monthly VIES and Intrastat returns.

· Update the VAT RTD information monthly.

· Preparation & filing of the annual 46G.

· Assisting the Director and accountant with the annual audit.

· Completing CSO forms.

· Other finance/ administrative duties as required.

Requirements:

· Experienced book-keeper /3rd level accounting qualification/degree desirable

· Experience with Irish book-keeping and accountancy practices and standards

· Experience with VAT returns in a high-volume environment desirable.

· Previous experience with ownership of fixed asset register desirable.

· Excellent computer literacy with strong working knowledge/ experience in Excel and sage book-keeping package desirable.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills with excellent English speaking skills

· Excellent numeric and organisational skills.

· Ability to work methodically through problems with excellent attention to detail.

· Ability to meet strict deadlines in a timely and efficient manner.
